GENEVA, N.Y. – The New England College men's ice hockey team concluded their regular season with a 4-1 loss at top-seeded Hobart College, the second-ranked team in the nation, on Saturday afternoon at the Cooler in Geneva, New York in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 2-0 going into the third period, the Pilgrims got on the board with 14:42 to go in the game as NEC freshman forward Graham Hassan (Howell, Mich.) scored his second goal of the season, assisted by junior forward Anthony Cinato (Warren, Mich.) and sophomore defenseman Connor Lefkof(Frisco, Texas).
- The Statesmen answered with two insurance goals in the closing minutes to secure the 4-1 win.
- Hobart picked up two goals from sophomore forward Luke Aquaro (Yardley, Pa.).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC senior goalie Andrew Kormos (Milford, Mich.) tallied 47 saves for the 'Grims with a .922 save percentage.
- Hobart first-year goalie Mavrick Goyer (Ste-Sophie, Quebec) finished with 29 stops for the Statesmen.
- Overall shots were 51-30 in favor of Hobart.
UP NEXT
- The Pilgrims, having qualified for the seventh seed in the upcoming NEHC Tournament. They'll travel to second-seeded Norwich University next Saturday for a quarterfinals matchup beginning at 7:00 p.m.
