HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The first four minutes were brutal for the Pilgrims, as the Eagles picked up goals from senior forward Larry Niland (Lido Beach, N.Y.), junior forward Ryan Reifler (Binghamton, N.Y.) and junior forward Shawn Kennedy (Bainsville, Ont.) to go up 3-0 just 3:52 into the game. Kennedy scored his second goal of the game with 2:23 left in the first to go up by a commanding score of 4-0.
  • Down 8-0 with 3:32 left in the second period, the Pilgrims finally got on the board when NEC senior forward Jhuwon Davis (Detriot, Mich.) scored his fourth goal of the season, assisted by junior forward Anthony Cinato (Warren, Mich.) and freshman forward Graham Hassan (Howell, Mich.).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
