HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College men's ice hockey team lost 6-0 to visiting Norwich University on Saturday evening at Lee Clement Arena in Henniker, New Hampshire in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cadets struck first 6:27 into the game when Norwich sophomore forward Alex Lewis (Moncton, N.B.) scored his fifth goal of the season, assisted by sophomore defenseman Jason Galotti (Hanover, Mass.) as the first period ended with the visitors leading 1-0.
- Norwich went up two goals just 1:11 into the second on a goal from junior forward Patrick O'Neal(Indiana, Penn.), assisted by sophomore forward Patrick Delvecchio (Mississauga, On.) and senior forward Phil Elgstam (Stockholm, Sweden).
- The Cadets made it 3-0 with 11:34 left in the second when Delvecchio scored his third goal of the season, assisted by sophomore forward Clark Kerner (Kansas, City, Mo.).
- Norwich closed out the second period scoring with a goal from senior forward Braedyn Aubin(Woodstock, Ontario), assisted by freshman defenseman Matt Harvey (Fort Covington, N.Y.) with 3:51 left in the stanza, going into the second intermission with a 4-0 lead.
- The early third period saw the Cadets take advantage of a pair of power play opportunities with goals from Kerner and O'Neal, the second goal of the day for each player.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC senior goalie Andrew Kormos (Milford, Mich.) tallied 40 saves on the day.
- Norwich senior goalie Andrew Albano (Hamilton, On.) finished with 33 stops for the shutout.
- The Cadets outshot the Pilgrims, 46-33.
