PLYMOUTH, NH. – The New England College men's basketball team fell at Plymouth State University on Wednesday evening at Foley Gymnasium in Plymouth, New Hampshire in nonconference action.

The Panthers doubled up the Pilgrims in the 1st half, 41-20. Plymouth shot 51.6 percent from the field while NEC connected on just 25.8 percent of their attempts.

The 'Grims made an attempt at getting back in the game with a 15-2 run over a five-minute stretch in the second half to cut the lead to 14 with 8:04 left in the game. NEC outscored Plymouth State in the second half, but the comeback proved to be not enough as the Panthers won by 17 points.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

The Pilgrims were led by Alex Williams (Miramar, Fla.) who had his third 20-point game of the season. The sophomore guard put up 20 points and 8 rebounds on 6 of 14 shooting.

Freshman guard Jasen Stovall (Tampa, Fla.) was the only other 'Grim in double figures as the reigning NECC rookie of the week added 13 points while going a perfect 6 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Plymouth's junior guard Kyler Bosse (Manchester, NH.) collected game-highs in both points (24) and rebounds (16) to lead the Panthers.

Plymouth State drastically won the rebounding battle over NEC, 50-33.

NEC caused the Panthers to turn the ball over 19 times as the team ended the game with 10 steals to PSU's 5.

NEC falls to 9-20 all-time against Plymouth State.
