BANGOR, Maine. – The New England College men's basketball team took the loss at Husson University on Friday at William P. Newman Gymnasium in Bangor, Maine in nonconference action.  

THE BASICS 
Score: New England College 60, Husson University 75 
Records: Pilgrims 2-8, 0-0 NECC | Eagles 3-5, 1-0 NAC 

 
TURNING POINTS 

• Husson closed out the first half on a 13-0 run to expand the lead to 18 points going into halftime.  

• NEC came out of the break a bit slow but went on an 18-5 run of their own midway through the second half to cut the lead to single digits. 

• The comeback bid was thwarted by the Eagles as they grew their lead back to 15 points by game's end. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• Junior guard Kyle Inglis (Burlington, Mass.) was the sole Pilgrim in double figures as he led the team with 17 points on 8-17 shooting. 

• NEC sophomore guard Cameron Le Van (Elizabeth, Colo.) provided a spark off the bench connecting on 3 of 5 from beyond the arc in just 10 minutes.  

• 'Grims sophomore guard Alex Williams (Miramar, Fla.) added 9 points and 6 rebounds. 

• Justice Kendall (Baltimore, Md.) led all scorers with 22 points in 36 minutes for the Eagles. 

• Husson shot 45.5 percent from the field while NEC shot just 31.4 percent. 

• New England College drops to 6-13 all-time against Husson.

• Up next for NEC, the team visits Wentworth on Wednesday in a nonconference game with tip-off set for 2:00 PM. 

• Husson hosts Bowdoin College on Sunday at 2:00 PM in an intrastate matchup.
