NORWICH, Vt. – The New England College men's basketball team won 85-79 over the University of Maine Fort Kent at the 2022 Ed Hockenbury Classic hosted by Norwich University on Sunday in Norwich, Vermont.

TURNING POINTS
- Trailing 72-66 with 6:49 remaining, the 'Grims used a 15-2 rally to surge into the lead, a run capped off with a layup from sophomore guard Alex Williams (Miramar, Fla.) with 58 seconds to go. NEC was never truly threatened after that point.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Williams had a dominant day with a career-high 29 points with ten rebounds, four assists and two steals, all while shooting 11-of-17 from the floor.
- NEC freshman guard Jasen Stovall (Tampa, Fla.) exploded off the bench for 21 points off 8-of-14 shooting.
- NEC freshman guard Khalon Taylor (Tuscon, Ariz.) added 19 points, shooting 80 percent from the floor. The rookie was named to the Ed Hockenbury Classic All-Tournament team.
