HOW IT HAPPENED

Plymouth State got out to a comfortable 2-0 lead early with goals from Rider McCallum (Langley, B.C.), assisted by Colin Stevens (Concord, N.H.), and goal from Connor Tait (Boyds, Md.), assisted from Myles Abbate (Norwell, Mass.) and Anton Jellvik (Taby, Sweden).

The 'Grims kept in close with a goal with six seconds left in the second period from freshman defenseman Graham Padgitt (St. Charles, Ill.), assisted by junior forward Anthony Cinato (Warren, Mich.) and sophomore defenseman Connor Lefkof (Frisco, Texas) making it a 2-1 deficit.

The third period had both teams firing on all cylinders with Plymouth State outscoring NEC 4-2. The 'Grims' goals came from Cinato, assisted by junior forward Linus Udd Hellgren (Gavle, Sweden), and the latter came from junior defenseman Zach Nelson (Hudson, Mass.), assisted by senior forward Alex LaPlante (Londonderry, N.H.) and graduate forward Bernie McGovern (Medford, Mass.).

Senior goalie Andrew Kormos (Milford, Mich.) collected a solid 38 saves.

Senior goalie Brendahn Brawley (Morton, Pa.) compiled 26 saves for the Panthers.
