HENNIKER, N.H. – Junior center Kathleen Rodriguez (McFarlane, Cali.) scored 25 points with 19 rebounds as the New England College women's basketball team won 90-83 over visiting Westfield State University on Tuesday evening at the Bridges Gymnasium in Henniker, New Hampshire in non-conference action.

TURNING POINTS
- The Owls controlled the game for much of the first half, employing a full-court press to frustrate the Pilgrims into 34 first half turnovers and taking a 44-32 lead into halftime.
- Coach Erica Ledy's 'Grims made adjustments during the break; only committing five turnovers after intermission. They slowly built momentum with superior inside play, finally going on an 11-1 run to go up 59-57 with 1:54 to go in the stanza after two free throws from freshman guard Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.). The fourth quarter saw NEC build up a cushion, and Westfield never threatened again.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Rodriguez dominated despite playing only 27 minutes due to foul trouble, shooting 12-of-14 from the floor.
- Westfield junior guard Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Mass.) led all scorers with 29 points including five three-pointers.
- NEC senior forward Ericka Pratt (Miami, Fla.) continued to put up outstanding numbers with 17 points and 17 boards while dishing out four assists.
- Westfield junior forward Jess Gardner (Webster, Mass.) added 17 points for the Owls.
- NEC senior guard Asia Jones (Boynton Beach, Fla.) added 16 points with five assists, while McDonald added ten points and eight rebounds off the bench.
- The 'Grims enjoyed an incredible 69-34 advantage in rebounding.
