HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College men's basketball team fell against visiting Colby-Sawyer on Tuesday at the Bridges Gym in Henniker, New Hampshire in nonconference action.  

THE BASICS 
Score: Colby-Sawyer 99, New England College 78 
Records: Chargers 2-3, 0-0 GNAC | Pilgrims 1-6, 0-0 NECC

 
TURNING POINTS 

• Colby-Sawyer jumped out to an early lead and took a 14-point advantage into the half.  

• Behind some big-time shooting performances from beyond the ark, the Chargers expanded their lead to 21 by the game's end. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• The Pilgrims were led by sophomore guard Alex Williams (Miramar, Fla.) who scored 15 points. 

• Sophomore guard Cameron Le Van (Elizabeth, Colo.) put up a career-high 14 on 4 of 5 shooting from deep. 

• Both Stravis Lutchman (Bradenton, Fla.) and Nick Gomeau (Enfield, Conn.) added 10 points each.  

• Colby-Sawyer senior guard Scott Lampron (Concord, N.H.) paced all scorers with 31 points while sophomore forward Kevin Cummings (Portsmouth, N.H.) added 26. Both players connected on 7 three-pointers a-piece. 

• Behind the efforts of Lampron and Cummings, Colby-Sawyer shot an astounding 59.4 percent from deep. 

• The game will be the two programs' final contest as non-conference opponents. The Pilgrims will be joining the Chargers in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) starting in the 2022-2023 season. 

UP NEXT 

• Up next for NEC, the team looks ahead to the Ed Hockenbury Classic with an opening matchup against hosting Norwich University on Saturday at 3 PM. 

• Colby-Sawyer hosts Amherst College at 7:00 PM on Thursday in another nonconference game.
