WATERVILLE, Maine – The New England College women's basketball team defeated Thomas College 65-45 in the Colby Tip-off Classic on Sunday afternoon at the Margaret M. Crook Center in Waterville, Maine.

TURNING POINTS

  • Up by ten at halftime, the Pilgrims pulled away in the third quarter, closing out with an 11-2 run capped off with a layup from junior center Kathleen Rodriguez (McFarlane, Cali.) to put NEC up by twenty. The Terriers never threatened again.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • NEC senior forward Ericka Pratt (Miami, Fla.) continued to dominate foes, scoring 16 points, pulling down 12 rebounds and tallying four steals in just 26 minutes.
  • Rodriguez likewise posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards.
  • NEC freshman guard Macy Gordon (Boscawen, N.H.) had a breakout game with 11 points off the bench, including three-of-five from behind the arc.

UP NEXT

  • Up next for NEC, the team will take a well-deserved break before returning to the court on Tuesday, November 29th in a 5:30 p.m. home game against Westfield State University.
