WATERVILLE, Maine – The New England College women's basketball team saw their four-game winning streak come to an end at the Colby Tip-Off Classic on Saturday afternoon at the Margaret M. Crook Center in Waterville, Maine, losing 57-49 to the host Mules of Colby College.

- After NEC freshman guard Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.) – the reigning New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week - tied it up at 47-47 with 1:08 to go with a jumper, the Mules closes out the game with a 10-2 run, smothering the Pilgrim offense and making their free throws down the stretch.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC senior forward Ericka Pratt (Miami, Fla.), last week's NECC Player of the Week, continued her strong play for the 'Grims, finishing with a team-high 14 points to go along with eight rebounds and two steals.
- Colby guard Caroline Smith (Freeport, Maine) led the Mules with 14 points and seven assists.
- NEC junior guard Juliana Hernandez (McFarlane, Cali.) came off the bench to pull down ten boards while tallying three steals.
- Colby junior forward Carter McGloon (Bethesda, Md.) pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds with seven points.
- NEC freshman guard Makiah Scott (Washington, D.C.) added ten points and three steals off the bench.
- Free throws proved critical on the day, as the Mules held a 17-9 edge in freebie points.
