HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College men's basketball team took the loss to visiting Clark University on Wednesday at the Bridges Gymnasium in Henniker, New Hampshire in nonconference action.

TURNING POINTS
- With 5:57 left in the first half, the Pilgrims had already fallen behind 41-18 after a slow start, but the team closed out the half on a 22-7 run to cut the deficit to eleven points.
- NEC would close the gap to as low as 5 points with 10:27 left in the game following a three-pointer by freshman guard Khalon Taylor (Tuscon, Ariz.).
- The Cougars held off the comeback attempt from the Pilgrims and expanded their late lead back into the twenties.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Taylor led the Pilgrims with 16 points off the bench while hitting 6 of his 10 shot attempts.
- NEC junior forward Treyjon Lewis (Norwalk, Conn.) recorded his first double-double of the season, posting 12 points and 10 rebounds.
- Freshman point guard Kamdyn Ayers (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) added 5 assists and 4 steals.
- Clark featured four scorers in double figures, led by sophomore guard Isaiah Taylor (Lawrence, Mass.) who scored 20 points.
- With the loss, NEC is now 0-2 all-time against Clark.

- Up next for NEC, the team faces off against Nichols College on Friday at 7:30 PM at the Hampton Inn Tournament hosted by Westfield State University.
- Clark heads to New York on Saturday for a 1:30 PM matchup with York College.
