Twelve Different Pilgrims Record a Point in Victory Over Framingham State

Box Score FRAMINGHAM, Mass. The New England College men's ice hockey team recovered from a slow start by recording three goals in both the second and third period to down Framingham State University in their final nonconference contest of the season, 6-1.

With the win, the Pilgrims will improve to 14-3-5 on the season while the Rams will fall to 2-16-1. The Pilgrims extend their unbeaten streak to 15 games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Framingham State got on the board first, just passed the halfway point of the first period. Jack Sheehan collected a rebound and beat Spence Kozlowski to give the Rams a 1-0 lead. The Pilgrims responded in the second period with three goals in just over five minutes. Adam Zollner tallied the equalizer on the powerplay and Daniel Bergqvist gave the Pilgrims the lead. Patrick DeBlois and Martin Hallin recorded assists on Zollner's goal while William Riise and Keenan Haase earned assists on Bergqvist's goal. Will Platt extended the lead when he found the back of the goal for his first career goal. The senior's goal was assisted by Connor Dunn and classmate Nicolas Potvin. Nikita Pintusov recorded the Pilgrims fourth goal of the evening which was assisted by Carlos Fornaris and DeBlois. Fornaris added another tally in the third period to give himself a two-point performance. Connor Inger extended the Pilgrim lead late in the period.

GOALTENDERS
Kozlowski made 16 saves on 17 shots on goal. He is 3-0-0 in three career starts. Nolan Greene made 45 saves on 51 shots on goal for the Rams.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-This is the 19th meeting all-time between the Rams and Pilgrims. The Pilgrims are now 14-4-1 in the all-time record.
-Fornaris' assist in the contest is his 27th on the season which puts him in a tie for most assists currently in all of division II and III.
-The Pilgrim unbeaten streak is now up to 15 games. The Pilgrims are 11-0-4 on their streak.
-The Pilgrims had 12 different players record a point in the contest.
