Sheedy Makes History as Men’s Golf Three-Peats at Keene State

2026 KSC Men's Golf Invitational

KEENE, N.H. - The New England College Men's Golf team completed the three-peat on Monday afternoon, winning the Keene State College Men's Fall Invitational at Keene Country Club in its final tournament before next week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.

The Pilgrims finished with a team score of 301, winning the tournament by four strokes. NEC recorded 13 total birdies, while Monday's 301 marked the team's lowest score at the tournament since shooting a 292 in 2024.

Senior Cameron Sheedy (Nashua, N.H.) led the way for the Pilgrims, finishing second individually with an even-par 71. Sheedy opened his round with three consecutive pars before a bogey on the par-four sixth hole. He made the turn at 36 (+1).

Sheedy found himself two-over through 12 holes on the back nine before responding with back-to-back birdies to return to even. After a bogey on the par-five 16th, Sheedy headed to the 17th hole, a 165-yard, uphill par three with the top of the green out of sight from the tee.

Sheedy found the green — and more.

As he approached the green, Sheedy discovered that his tee shot had found the bottom of the cup for his first career hole-in-one and the first ace in New England College Men's Golf history.

He finished with a 71 (E) to secure runner-up honors, behind Keene State's Taylor Miller who eagled the 18th hole after driving the green.

Sophomore Emil Elias (Ekerö, Sweden) followed with a 72 (+2) to finish third individually. Elias made the turn at even par after recording a birdie and a bogey on the front nine. He added four birdies, two pars, two bogeys and a triple on the back nine to card a 37 and finish with a 72.

Sophomore Aiden Boule (Concord, N.H.) recorded a 76 (+4), tying for ninth. Boule shot a 36 on the front nine after a bogey on the par-four second hole before adding two birdies and three pars on the back nine.

Junior Dalton Gordon (Boscawen, N.H.) also tied for ninth while competing as an individual. Gordon carded a 38 on both the front and back nine to finish with a 76 (+4).

Freshman Edouard Belval-Turmel (Quebec, Canada) rounded out the team score with an 82. Starting on the 15th hole, Belval-Turmel opened with a birdie before recording back-to-back bogeys and a par. He shot a 44 on the front nine before closing with pars on four of his final five holes to finish the back nine at 38 (+2).

Junior Vesse-Wincent Lampen (Espoo, Finland) finished with an 84 after shooting 43 on the front nine and 41 on the back.

The Pilgrims now turn their attention to the GNAC Championship next week as they look to carry their momentum from the three-peat into the conference tournament and going four for four in titles.
