NEW LONDON, Conn. - New England College Men's Wrestling competed in the 2026 NCAA Divison III Regional Championship hosted by the United States Coast Guard Academy where sophomore Joseph Bolduc (Methuen, Mass.) punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships starting on March 13 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Bolduc opened the tournament against Gordon Murray from Roger Williams where he won by a 16-3 major decision. In the quarterfinal, Bolduc took down USCGA's Mason Gourley in a 7-3 decision. In the semifinal, he was faced with a test against Johnson and Wales' Patrick Wisniewski where they went into overtime tied 1-1. A takedown with just under 40 seconds left clinched a finals spot for Bolduc and guaranteed him a spot in the national tournament. Bolduc faced the same challenge in the finals as he went into overtime against Gage Wiggins from Williams tied 1-1. Both wrestlers scored via escape before Bolduc scored a takedown with just three seconds left in the overtime period and won the tournament.

Junior Michael Follo (Derry, N.H.) received a first-round bye before taking down Williams' Tylor Stubbs in a battle where Follo came away with a 16-15 victory in the second round.

Junior Brandon Lavasta-Torres (Lawrence, Mass.) picked up a 4-1 win over Rhode Island College's Jaden Tesher in the second round.

Senior Patrick Hughes (Chelmsford, Mass.), after receiving a first-round bye, lost in the second round but picked up wins in the consolation rounds over Worcester Polytech's Joel Puri and Maine Maritime's Trevor Llewelyn

Freshman Brayden Sohn (West Hartford, Conn.) received a bye in the first round before taking down Aiden Riordan from Emmanuel for his first win of the season.

Junior Dominic DeMaio (Methuen, Mass.) picked up a win over Utica's Jiovani Chambers with a pin in 1:04.
