HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College men's and women's cross-country teams competed in the Codfish Bowl hosted by the New England Association of USA Track & Field.
On the women's side, freshman Althea LeBlanc (Derry, N.H.) led the way, covering the 5K course in 21:04, placing 69th out of 191 runners. She was followed by junior Amanda Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.) who crossed the finish line in 23:09. Freshman Skylar Simpson (Prospect, Conn.) finished in 27:36, while sophomore Sophia Lapointe (Salem, N.H.) clocked a 27:55. Rounding out the lineup, senior Aleesa Jordan (Casco, Maine) closed with a 31:42 effort.
For the men, sophomore Ryan Weidman (Weare, N.H.) paced the Pilgrims with a 37:16 finish, averaging a 7:30 mile pace.
The team is racing again on October 10th at the Hopkinton Cross Country Festival at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds. Race time is still to be announced.
