Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Pre-Championship Poll

HENNIKER, N.H. - Ahead of the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Cross Country Championships on Sunday, November 2nd, the conference office released a Pre-Championship Poll as voted upon by the GNAC's head coaches. 

The NEC men's team was voted to finish tied for ninth out of 10 teams, receiving 30 total points. The hosting Norwich Cadets were voted first, earning all 10 first place votes, while Saint Joseph's (ME) and Emmanuel College were voted second and third. Lasell and Colby-Sawyer rounded out the top five, followed by Regis, Dean, and Mitchell. The Pilgrims tied with Elms in ninth.  

The women's team was voted eighth out of 11 teams, receiving 52 points and one first-place vote. Tied atop the poll results were Colby-Sawyer and Emmanuel, each with 105 points, while the Chargers earned nine first-place votes. Norwich received one first-place vote while earning third. Saint Joseph's (ME), Simmons, Lasell, and Regis, filled out fourth through seventh place, while NEC came in at eight with the final first-place vote. Elms, Dean, and Mitchell rounded out the poll. 

Hosted by Norwich University, the 2025 GNAC Championships will begin at 12:00 PM on Sunday, November 2nd, with the men's race, followed by the women's race at 1:30. Both teams and individuals will be looking to qualify for regionals on Saturday, November 15th, which is to be held at the nearby Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
