GNAC Release
HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College women's soccer team was selected 13th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll conducted by the league's 14 head coaches.
Emmanuel College collected all 14 first-place votes as the reigning GNAC Champions enter the new season as the favorites with 196 points. Rivier slotted in at number two with 172 points while Lasell finished in third place with 163 points. Regis and Albertus Magnus rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
NEC sits in 13th place with 39 points, ahead of Mitchell College and just behind Dean. The 'Grims will be looking to make a jump up the GNAC standings in year 3 of GNAC action.
The 'Grims begin the regular season on Friday, August 29th against former conference foe Anna Maria before starting conference play on Saturday, September 6th at the University of Saint Joseph (CT) who was picked to finish in the middle of the pack.
