GNAC Release
HENNIKER, N.H. - Freshman third baseman Jaken Pellerin (Manchester, N.H.)  of the New England College baseball team has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Third Team All-Conference, as voted on by conference coaches in an announcement by the league office on Tuesday.
Pellerin posted an overall slash line of .373/.424/.619 in 31 games this season for the 'Grims, leading the team in most major offensive categories. The freshman tallied 44 hits with 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored. The rookie had 19 extra-base hits with five home runs and 14 doubles. He had at least one hit in 23 games and had 13 multi-hit efforts. Pellerin slugged his way to fifth in the GNAC in slugging percentage, fourth in doubles, and tied for seventh in home runs. Among freshmen, Pellerin ranked fourth in the conference in batting average, second in slugging percentage, and first in doubles.
Jaken was one of the top rookies in the conference this season, being named the GNAC Rookie of the Week on March 11th and now rounds out his first year in Henniker with a well-earned placement on the Third Team All-Conference.
Senior outfielder Kyle Dobrie (Mastic, N.Y.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.Â
