Baseball Concludes Season with Loss to Plymouth State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The New England College baseball team saw the 2026 campaign come to an end on Monday, falling to Plymouth State on the road, 10-2.

Playing in the last game of his career, graduate Brady Philibotte (Weare, N.H.) played all nine positions for the Pilgrims including making his first ever appearances on the mound and behind the plate. Philibotte reached base three times on the day with a single and two walks, while also recording his first career punch out. He ends his Pilgrim career with a 0.00 ERA.

Seniors David Spigel (Portsmouth, R.I.) and Nick Hernandez (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) each came through with RBI base knocks in the second inning with Spigel opening the scoring with a run-scoring double to plate senior Mike Monteforte (Wilmington, Mass.) followed by Hernandez' single to score senior Jackson Round (Cayuga, Ont.).

Senior Harold Martinez (Wethersfield, Conn.) reached base twice, concluding his senior season with career bests with a .310 batting average and a .407 on-base percentage.

NEC senior Isaias Nuño (Rialto, Calif.) started on the mound, striking out three Panthers in two innings. Senior Brody McNair (Revere, Mass.) fired a scoreless third inning with one punch out while senior Brendan Hill (Lincoln, R.I.) pitched a scoreless fifth frame.

Plymouth State scored twice in the bottom-half of the second to tie things up before plating four in the fourth and four more in the sixth to take the season finale, 10-2.
