HENNIKER, N.H. – Junior attacker
Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.) of the New England College women's lacrosse team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the week ending March 9, 2025, in an announcement by the conference this week.
McDonald had a remarkable week, scoring 15 goals and making six assists for 21 points in a 3-0 week for NEC. McDonald scored four goals including the game-winner against UMaine-Farmington on Tuesday before scoring five times and assisting on four as part of a nine-point performance against Thomas. McDonald rounded out her week with a career-best six goals and chipped in two assists in their conference opener against Albertus Magnus. The junior converted on 57.7% of her shot attempts, collecting an 80.8 shot-on-goal percentage as well as collecting 14 draw controls and three caused turnovers.
McDonald leads the Pilgrims in action against Manhattanville University on Tuesday at the Spring Fling in Panama City Florida.
