Women’s Lacrosse: Four Pilgrims Earn GNAC All-Conference Honors

HENNIKER, N.H. - Four members of the New England College women's lacrosse team were recognized in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference teams as part of the conference's postseason awards, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Senior Meadow Gilchrist (Stamford, Conn.) earned one of the four attack spots on the GNAC All-Conference First Team after leading the team with 87 points. She posted a career-high 60 goals while adding 32 ground balls, 21 caused turnovers, and 49 draw controls, demonstrating her all-around impact on the field. Gilchrist continued to climb the program's record books, reaching the 100-career goal milestone on February 28th and surpassing the 200-career points milestone on March 18th, closing out her career with 257 points – ranking fourth in program history. The senior attacker had her top performances on March 11th against Elms, recording four goals and five assists for nine points, and again on April 18th versus Albertus Magnus, matching nine points with five goals and four assists. Gilchrist landed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll six times this season and caps her career as a First Team All-Conference honoree.

Sophomore Riley Davis (Weare, N.H.) emerged as one of the conference's top scorers, earning GNAC All-Conference Second Team honors after leading the team with 67 goals – fourth most in the league. She added two assists to finish with 69 points, along with 28 ground balls and 21 draw controls.  Davis made an immediate impact for the Pilgrims, scoring in all 18 games this season. Her best performance came on March 6th against Warner (FL.), when she erupted for seven goals. She also recorded three separate six-goal games, showing her consistency on the attack. Recognized twice on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll, Davis capped off an impressive sophomore campaign as one of the conference's top attackers, earning the Second Team All-Conference selection.

Senior Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.) earned GNAC All-Conference Third Team honors, claiming one of the four attack spots. She led the team with 44 assists – third in the GNAC – and added a team-high 78 draw controls, finishing with 29 goals, 73 points, 29 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers. McDonald dished out a career-high seven assists – the second-most in a single game in program history on April 18th against Albertus Magnus. Her 44 assists this season rank second all-time in program history, and she finishes her career on the GNAC All-Conference Third Team.

Sophomore Jamie Blondin (Oakville, Ont.) rounded out the Pilgrims All-Conference selections with an All-Conference Third Team nod. Blondin played in all 18 games this season, having the third most draw controls on the team with 43, behind only McDonald and Gilchrist. She added 22 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers while also scoring two goals and making one assist on the offensive end. Blondin was a key piece to an NEC defense that held opponents to below 10 goals per game this season.

Freshman attacker Camryn Coutts (Gilford, N.H.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
