HENNIKER, N.H. – Freshman catcher
Jaken Pellerin (Manchester, N.H.) of the New England College baseball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 9, 2025, in an announcement by the conference on Monday.
The first-year infielder was on a tear this past week, going 7-for-8 with five extra base hits including his first career home run. Despite being limited to two games due to injury, the Manchester, New Hampshire, native put up a blistering .875 batting average and a 1.750 slugging percentage while batting in three runs and scoring four times.
Pellerin and the 'Grims are back on the field on Tuesday when they face Manhattanville University at the Polo Grounds in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
