Dehney has exploded onto the scene in her freshman year here in Henniker, going a perfect 12-0 in the month of January as part of a 22-0 start to the season. Competing between the 131 and 138 weight classes, the rookie has simply dominated - winning 10 of her 12 victories this month by pinfall.
Jaclyn went 4-0 at the Ursinus Duals on January 12th and 3-0 at the Western New England Duals on January 26th. The team went a perfect 3-0 at WNE to match, earning wins against New Jersey City University, Felician University, and Centenary University. Dehney has done equally well in tournaments this season, riding a 4-0 record at the Will Abele Open to a 1st place finish. Competing in the 131-pound weight class, Dehney came out on top of the 19-competitor field with three consecutive victories by pinfall to claim the title.
Most recently on February 1st, competing at the Bobcat Open hosted by Frostburg State, Dehney rallied behind five consecutive wins by pinfall to take first place in the 131 division.
Dehney and co. are set to travel to Elmira College for the team's final dual of the season on February 9th at 1:00 PM. From there, the exciting freshman will set her eyes on the NCAA Regionals hosted by the very same Elmira College on February 22nd and 23rd.
