HENNIKER, N.H. - Seniors Martina Hill (Abbot, Maine) and Makenzie Anderson (Antrim, N.H.) were both named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-Region Second Team, as announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.
The duo represents Region I, which annually recognizes no more than 16 student athletes. The All-Region teams are made up of student athletes that represent the highest level of field hockey players in their region and all around the country.
Hill is a first-time recipient of All-Region honors in a season where the senior captain was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year last month.
Anderson earns All-Region honors for a second straight season, just weeks after being named to the NFHCA Senior Team. In a season where she was also named the GNAC Goalkeeper of the Year, Anderson continues to rack up individual accolades for her performance in net for the 'Grims.
