Anderson Named to 2025 NFHCA Division III Senior Team

NFHCA Release

HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College senior goalkeeper Makenzie Anderson (Antrim, N.H.) of the NEC field hockey team was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate Senior Team on Wednesday.

Anderson is one of 60 student athletes recognized among Division-III institutions around the country. It is the second consecutive year a Pilgrim has landed on the NFHCA Senior Team after Drea Chin (Laconia, N.H.) earned the recognition last season.

The senior goalkeeper had an impressive season, repeating as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Year and earning GNAC All-Conference First Team honors. She also landed a spot on the GNAC All-Tournament Team. During the season, Anderson was named the GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week twice and was a five-time fixture on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll.

Makenzie started all 20 games in goal for the Pilgrims, setting new career-bests in both save percentage and goals-against average. Her .872 save percentage ranked first in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and is a top five mark in Division III. The goalie's 0.72 goals-against average was also the best in the conference and put her inside the top 10 in Division III. Anderson had five shutouts this season – the most in the GNAC – which gave her 16 for her career. She will graduate with the second most shutouts in program history.
