COLLEGEVILLE, Penn. – The New England College women's wrestling team took eighth place at the Will Abele Invitational on Saturday at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
TOP 'GRIMS
- Freshman Orla King (Woburn, Mass.) started her day with a bye before dropping her next two bouts by superiority.
- Freshman Morgan Gora (Hudson, N.H.) dropped her two matches, the first by superiority and the second by pin with a bye in between.
- Freshman Madeline Li (Andover, Mass.) lost her first match 5-4 before earning a bye. She won her second match 7-1 before dropping from the tournament.
- Junior Karime Camarena-Tejeda (Miami, Fla.) lost her first match by pinfall before earning a bye in the first consolation round. After winning her next two bouts, she was pinned to be eliminated.
- Sophomore Olivia Delegas (Andover, Mass.) earned a bye in the first round. She dropped her next match by pin before winning in overtime to advance to the fifth-place match. She dropped her final bout to finish in sixth place.
- Sophomore Alexis Dobson (Manchester, N.H.) earned a bye in the first round before pinning her way to the next round. After losing in the semifinals, she dropped her final match to finish in fourth place.
- Freshman Jaclyn Dehney (Pelham, N.C.) earned a bye in her first match before advancing to the quarterfinal. She then pinned her way to a first-place finish.
