WESTFIELD, MASS. - A year after placing second at the Brett Williamson Invitational, the New England College men's golf team came out on top at the Brett Williamson Invitational hosted by Westfield State University at the Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Massachusetts, coming in first place out of ten total teams.  

TOP 'GRIMS 

• Junior Graham Hassan (Pinckney, Mich.) led the way for the 'Grims with a 74 on the par 71 course, good for a +3 on the day and a share of first place on the individual leaderboard.
• Senior Timothy Carlson (Albany, N.Y.) followed directly behind Hassan with a +4 good for a third-place individual finish.  
• NEC's reigning GNAC rookie of the week, freshman Ryan Waring (Gilmanton, N.H.), continued his strong play of late with a 78 (+7) to finish tied for 8th place overall. 
• Freshman Vesse-Wincent Lampen (Espoo, Finland) posted an 80 for a +9 while coming in 12th place.  
• Freshman Bryce Sturm (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) rounded out the 'Grims team with a +11 good for 18th overall.

• NEC will compete next on when they travel to Keene State for the Keene State Invitational starting at 11:00 AM.
