HENNIKER, N.H. – Four student-athletes from the New England College baseball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for the 2024 season in an announcement by the CSC this week.
NEC graduate infielder
Bryce Worth (Southington, Conn.), senior infielder
Brett Patnode (Weare, N.H.), senior left-handed pitcher
Nolan Stoney (Bedford, N.H.) and junior infielder
Brady Philibotte (Weare, N.H.) were all selected to the team for their outstanding achievements both in the classroom and on the field.
"Brett, Brady, Nolan, and Bryce perfectly exemplify the term 'student-athlete' and continue to excel on the field, in the classroom and as men." NEC head coach
Terry Doyle said of his 2024 CSC class. "They are exactly the type of student-athletes that build great teams and this is just another example of the success they've had and will have the rest of their lives."
Worth played three years for the Pilgrims, culminating in a graduate season where he hit .290 with 31 hits, two home runs, ten runs batted in and career-bests of .387 on-base percentage and ten stolen bases.
Patnode, a repeat CSC All-District selection, hit a career-best .342 in his third season in Henniker with 39 hits and 19 RBIs. Patnode's 26 walks drawn led the Pilgrims, as did his .486 on-base percentage.
Stoney pitched a career-high 30 innings over ten games for NEC this season, striking out 18 batters and posting a 5.10 ERA.
Philibotte, another repeat CSC All-District selection, enjoyed a breakout 2024 season for the Pilgrims, hitting .400 with 48 hits and a team-leading 23 RBIs to go along with 14 doubles. Philibotte was voted to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference second team as a designated hitter, after a year that saw him reach the 100 career hit plateau, hitting for a cycle on April 7
th at Albertus Magnus College.
