Men’s Golf Preps for NCAAs with Win at Elms

SOUTHWICK, Mass. - The New England College men's golf team kicked off their spring schedule by competing at the Elms College Invitational on Saturday at the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Massachusetts, winning the invitational in a field of eight teams with a combined 324 strokes.
 
TOP 'GRIMS
  • NEC junior Timothy Carlson (Albany, N.Y.) led the Pilgrims with a four over-par, good for fourth place.
  • Freshman Vesse-Wincent Lampen (Espoo, Finland) made his debut for the Pilgrims, coming in with a nine over-par.
  • Sophomore Kam Hellman (Macomb, Mich.) posted an 11-over, while sophomore Graham Hassan (Pinckney, Mich.) was one stroke behind him at 12.
  • Playing in his final competition for the Pilgrims, senior Jason Mercado (Des Moines, Iowa) concluded his career with a +40.
UP NEXT
  • NEC will compete next on Tuesday, May 14th when they travel to the NCAA Championships at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
