QUINCY, Mass. - Playing in their first official tune-up round of the Spring, the New England College men's golf team finished third of four teams at the Lynx Invitational with a team total of 315 (+35) at the Presidents Golf Course in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Finishing in first place was GNAC foe, Emmanuel, at 305 (+25), while Suffolk placed second with 310 (+30). The hosting Lynx of Lesley came in fourth with an accumulative score of 343 (+63).
Sophomore Dalton Gordon (Boscawen, N.H.) led the Pilgrims with a third-place overall finish, shooting a 75 (+5) - his best round of the 2025-26 season. Gordon birdied the ninth hole to bring a 36 (+2) into the back nine where he shot a 39 (+3) in a super steady performance for the second year.
NEC freshman Emil Elias (Ekerö, Sweden) shot a 79 (+9) to start off the Spring, finishing in eighth place. The rookie had a team-high three birdies on the front nine.
Sophomore Vesse-Wincent Lampen (Espoo, Finland) slotted in just behind Elias, tying for ninth place with an 80 (+10). He shot a 40 (+6) on the front before using a pair of birdies on the back nine to shoot another 40 (+4).
Senior Graham Hassan (Pinckney, Mich.) rounded out the Pilgrims' top four with an 81 (+11) which was good for 13th overall. Sophomore Bryce Sturm (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) shot an 89 (+19).
The 'Grims will host their next Spring tune-up on April 26th as they will hit the links at Derryfield Country Club in Manchester, New Hampshire, in preparation for the NCAA Championships in mid-May.
