HENNIKER, N.H.- The New England College athletic department concluded that for the month of January, women's wrestler
Alexis Dobson (Manchester, N.H.) will be announced as the Pilgrim of the Month for her outings on the mat. The freshman gathered a record of 5-2 in the month competing against the likes of Western New England University twice, wrestling in the Will Abele Open hosted by Ursinus College, Columbia University, and Sacred Heart University.
The highlight of the month for Dobson was premiered at the Will Abele Open where she managed to put up a 2-1 record where she found herself wrestling in the semifinals. Dobson on that day compiled two technical fall wins during the open. When up against the Golden Bears during both occasions she was 2-0 earning wins by pin fall and technical fall.
This marks the women's wrestling program's first Pilgrim of the Month award in their young history that they were able to produce in it's first season as a team.
