Box Score LEXINGTON, Mass. – The New England College women's basketball team took a win at Lesley on Wednesday at Minuteman Gymnasium in Lexington, Massachusetts.

TURNING POINTS
- The first quarter started off with the two teams trading baskets to be tied at 6-6. Lesley held their first lead when it was 6-4 when Bella Terry made a layup. The Pilgrims fought back to finish the quarter on an 8-3 run, with junior guard Macy Gordon (Boscawen, N.H.) and senior forward Gabriella Matlock (Tulare, Calif.) combining for six to give the 'Grims a 12-9 lead heading into the second.
- Sophomore guard Bailey Burke (New Bedford, Mass.) kept the foot on the gas pedal for NEC as she made multiple key baskets to take advantage of Lynx misses and give the Pilgrims a nine-point lead heading into the half.
- It took almost four minutes for the Lynx to make their first basket of the second half as Gordon and Burke buried jumpers to make it a 13-point lead before Savannah Gravitt made a layup. The final six minutes of the quarter featured a three-pointer and two free throws from Lacy to send the game into the fourth quarter with a nine-point Pilgrim lead.
- Lacy continued her run of baskets into the fourth with four more points to put NEC up ten. Terry and the Lynx fought back, bringing the lead back down to six with just 3:48 to go, but Lacy nailed a three-pointer to ice the game as Lesley was forced to foul for the rest of the game after Terry started an attempted comeback with a layup of her own. Junior guard Ajayah Lively (Victorville, Calif.) made a free throw with two minutes to go as the game ended with a 53-45 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Lacy led the game with 22 points, with Lesley's Bella Terry and Ahidali DeHuelbes finishing behind with 16 and 13 points, respectively.
- Lively and Matlock both finished with seven rebounds each, both falling short of Terry's 12 to complete the double-double. The Pilgrims won the rebound battle 43-40.
- Senior guard Amya Moss (Norfolk, Va.) led the game with six assists, with NEC edging Lesley 9-8 in that category.
- Terry also recorded the only three blocks of the game.
- The Pilgrims took advantage of the Lynx's 23 turnovers, scoring 17 points off them.
- NEC's bench outscored Lesley's 38-8.

- Up next for NEC, the team travels down to Worcester, Massachusetts to take on the Worcester State Lancers on Saturday with a 1:00 PM tipoff.
