STANDISH, Maine – The New England College women's soccer team lost 2-1 at Saint Joseph's College of Maine in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Wednesday evening at Saint Joseph's Athletics Complex in Standish, Maine.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first half, NEC senior forward Shelby McBain (Indianhead, Md.) broke the stalemate in the 61st minute, scoring her third goal of the season to put the 'Grims ahead 1-0. Just over two minutes later, the Monks would find the equalizer when SJC forward Sydney Gallop (Hermon, Maine) scored her sixth goal of the year to knot it at 1-1.
- Just as it seemed as if the game was headed to a draw, SJC midfielder Emilienne Biddings-Augustine (New Gloucester, Maine) scored the game-winner with 2:59 to go, as the Pilgrims took the loss.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC junior goalkeeper Hollie Bomba (Seymour, Conn.) tallied ten saves in the loss. It was her sixth double-digit save total of the season.
- SJC goalkeeper Ashlyn Guerette (Merrimack, N.H.) finished with four stops for the Monks.
