HENNIKER, N.H.- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) recognized four players from the New England College Men's Golf team with All-Conference accolades after a stellar outing during the GNAC Championships. Things ended in phenomenal fashion for the team as their outing concluded with a 1st place finish during the championships by a convincing 26 strokes ahead of their closest competition making it their second consecutive GNAC championship win.

Senior Timothy Carlson (Albany, N.Y.) and freshman Ryan Waring (Gilmanton, N.H) were both bestowed All-Conference First Team leading the 'Grims towards their conference victory. Carlson recorded a +10 total, being a stroke behind Waring who earned +9.

Freshman Vesse-Wincent Lampen (Espoo, Finland) and Bryce Sturm (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) earned All-Conference Second Team. Lampen had a score of +20 while Sturm finished +23 during the two-day outing. The GNAC recognized Lampen as a part of the All-Sportsmanship Team.

The accolades didn't cease there as head coach Travis Banga was awarded the Coach of the Year after a resounding season put together by his team that collected five first place finishes.

"Having four of our five guys make all conference is a huge honor," said Banga. They all grinded it out for two days in really tough weather conditions, as well as a challenging course. They all had amazing seasons and were very well deserved. Unfortunately, Hassan didn't make all conference this year, but he had such a strong season for us and finished strong day 1 to help us get that 8 shot lead for day 2."

Congratulations to the entire Men's Golf team this season for their efforts that has gotten them to this historical point within their program!
