HENNIKER, N.H. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced the winners for Athletes of the Week, for the week ending on Sunday, September 3rd. Junior goalkeeper Hayden Walker (Manchester, N.H.) was named Goalie of the Week after allowing just one goal in the team's two contests this past week.
The New Hampshire-native, coming off a strong 2022 campaign where he tied the NEC school record with five shutouts, earned his first shutout of the 2023 season in a 5-0 victory over Maine Maritime on Saturday. In the 'Grims season opener, Walker saved 10 shots en route to a 1-1 draw against Plymouth State University.
Walker and the Pilgrims will be back on the field on Wednesday for their conference opener on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut.
