Bad Weather Can’t Stop Men’s Golf From Taking 2nd at Keene State

KEENE, N.H. - The New England College men's golf team competed as the rains fell at the 2023 Keene State Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Keene Country Club in Keene, New Hampshire, coming in second place out of seven teams, just two strokes behind the host Owls with a score of 330.
  
TOP 'GRIMS
  • NEC junior Timothy Carlson (Albany, N.Y.) and sophomore Graham Hassan (Pinckney, Mich.) continued to vie for the best finish on the 'Grims, tying with a score of 79, good for fifth overall in the individual standings.
  • NEC sophomore Kaleb O'Connor (Rochester, N.H.) posted a score of 83, while senior Roman O'Brienhalla (Chapel Hill, N.C.) had an 89 and sophomore Kam Hellman (Macomb, Mich.) finished with a 90.
  • NEC senior Jason Mercado (Des Moines, Iowa), playing as an unattached, finished with a 90.

  • NEC will compete next on Monday, October 9th when they play in their first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.
