BOSTON, Mass. - The New England College women's soccer team won late in the game at Simmons University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Tuesday evening at the Daly Field in Boston Massachusetts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game's first half did not include any scoring, nonetheless, it was Simmons who was showing the most aggression on their home field by putting up 12 shots as well as getting five corner kicks.
- The second half got more intense as the 'Grims and Sharks were fighting for possession for several minutes until the 75' mark when junior forward Shelby McBain (Indianhead, Md.) received an outlet pass from freshman forward Ashleigh Carolus (Lakewood, Co.) where McBain went full steam ahead and drawing Simmons goalkeeper Julia Rodgers (Haverhill, Mass.) towards her and striking in the goal at the last possible second to eventually win the game 1-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC sophomore goalkeeper Stephanie Bronowicki (Corona, Calif.) kept the 'Grims in contention the whole game by recording seven saves.
- Sharks' goalkeeper Rodgers tallied five saves in the tightly contested evening game.
- Despite the 'Grims getting the only goal, Simmons was able to get off 16 total shots in the game.
- NEC did not get any chances for a corner kick as the Sharks pushed to get eight of them.
