Field Hockey Preps for 2023 Season

HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College field hockey team formally announced their schedule for the 2023 season on Saturday.

The 2023 season marks NEC's first season in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). The Pilgrims are coming off a strong 2022 season that saw them reach the championship finals of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) tournament.

NEC will waste no time becoming acclimated to the GNAC, as they open their season on Saturday, September 2nd with a contest at Albertus Magnus College. The 'Grims begin their home schedule on Wednesday, September 6th when they host Rivier University in a 4:00 p.m. game. They'll face perhaps their toughest test of the season on Tuesday, October 10th when they host defending GNAC champion Johnson & Wales University in a 7:00 p.m. showdown.

The Pilgrims are led by fifth year senior forward Drea Chin (Laconia, N.H.) and fifth year senior midfielder Mikayla Vincent (Newburyport, Mass.), the top two scorers in the NECC last year.
