HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's basketball team won 74-42 over visiting Thomas College on Tuesday evening at the Bridges Gymnasium in Henniker, New Hampshire in non-conference action.

TURNING POINTS

After a slow start, the 'Grims closed out the first quarter on a 10-2 run to give them an eleven- point lead, a series capped off with a layup from NEC junior center Kathleen Rodriguez (McFarlane, Cali.). The hosts would pull away at the start of the second, scoring the first 17 points of the quarter as the Terriers would never threaten again.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

NEC senior forward Ericka Pratt (Miami, Fla.) posted a brilliant all-around performance, leading the Pilgrims with 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals in just 22 minutes.
NEC freshman guard Amya Moss (Viginia Beach, Virg.), the reigning New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, added ten points in just 14 minutes.
Thomas first year guard Hannah Coolen (Unity, Maine) led the Terriers with seven points.
NEC senior guard Asia Jones (Boynton Beach, Fla.) contributed nine points and three assists.
Rodriguez contributed nine points and six rebounds in just 18 minutes.
Thomas junior guard Brianne Benecke (Oakland, Maine) pulled down a team-high six boards with three assists.
Second-chance points were 21-2 in favor of the 'Grims.

UP NEXT

Up next for NEC, the team hosts NECC rival Lesley University in a non-conference matchup on Thursday with a 5:00 p.m. tipoff.
Thomas travels to Maine-Farmington for their next contest, that coming on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
