MEDFORD, Mass. – The New England College women's basketball team snapped their seven-game losing streak with a 74-58 victory at Lesley University on Wednesday evening in Medford, Massachusetts in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action, picking up their first conference-play win.

TURNING POINTS

After a slow-shooting start, the 'Grims exploded in the second quarter with a 21-4 run capped off with a layup from freshman guard Makiah Scott (Washington, D.C.) with 4:12 left in the half, leading 28-16. They would enter the break with a 14-point lead, and the Lynx would never truly threaten again.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

NEC junior guard Juliana Hernandez (McFarlane, Cali.) led the Pilgrims with 16 points – an NEC career-best for the junior transfer – shooting 7-of-13 from the floor with five rebounds and two assists.
Lesley senior guard Sydnie Drezek (Seymour, Conn.) scored 16 points to lead the Lynx with five rebounds.
NEC senior forward Ericka Pratt (Miami, Fla.) contributed 16 points with six boards, while freshman guard Amya Moss (Viginia Beach, Virg.) scored a career-high ten points.
The 'Grims enjoyed a 27-7 advantage in points off turnovers and a 30-11 edge in bench scoring.
