HENNIKER, N.H. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced the All-Conference teams for the 2023 men's soccer season, and two Pilgrims received recognition for their strong performances.
Senior forward
Logan Cassin (Penacook, N.H.) was named to the All-Conference Second Team after a strong season in which he scored a GNAC-leading 13 goals. The New Hampshire-native had five multi-goal games, including a hat trick on Senior Day in a 5-3 win over Rivier. The senior also added 3 assists, good for a career-best 29 points on the year.
Freshman midfielder
Santiago Sanchez (Guatemala City, Guatemala) had a solid first season for the 'Grims, culminating in being voted to both the All-Conference Third Team and the All-Rookie Team. Sanchez was second on the team in goals, behind only Cassin, with six.
Cassin and Sanchez combined to score all three goals in the team's opening-round 3-0 victory over Lasell in the GNAC Tournament.
"I'm very excited for Logan and Santiago being selected all-conference in our first year in the GNAC," said Head Coach
Pat Laughlin. "Logan and Santiago both had excellent years and really represent the program well."
Senior midfielder and team co-captain
Alex Rust (Hooksett, N.H.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
