HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College Athletics Department has named junior midfielder Meaghan McCamish (Warwick, R.I.) of the NEC field hockey team their Female Pilgrim of the Month for the month of September of 2023.
McCamish has enjoyed a breakout season for the 'Grims, as she's tallied a team-high six goals with an assist through the first ten games of the season. The third-year midfielder scored NEC's game-winner against Maine-Farmington on September 27^th.
"Meaghan isn't afraid of a hard work." Head coach Carly Sweeney. "She constantly displays this on the field and in the classroom.  She listens to her teammates and isn't afraid to provide feedback.  She is a student of the game, she is constantly absorbing new information and executing it. We are so proud of the student-athlete Meaghan has become at NEC she is an excellent leader by example!"
McCamish currently ranks eighth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in goals scored.
