Pilgrims Blanked by Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine. – Colby College plated one run in the seventh and four more in the eighth to pull out a 5-0 win over the New England College Baseball team Tuesday afternoon

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both pitching staff and defenses held firm for most of the contest, as Colby was the first team to plate a run, coming in the bottom of the seventh inning. Clint Flippo flared a single to shallow centerfield with two outs in the seventh to score Cole Palmeri from third. The Mules extended their advantage in the bottom half of the frame as they struck for four runs in the inning.

Wyatt Cameron got the start for the Pilgrims, as he went 2.2 innings with a pair of strikeouts. Tim Krol pitched 3.1 innings in relief, with one strikeout.

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
