The New England College Men's Lacrosse team wraps up their home slate tonight as they host Wheaton College beginning at 7:00 pm.
New England College (6-8, 4-0 NECC) has won five of their last six contests, as they have won over Castleton, Mitchell, and Eastern Nazarene. Lucas Ferreira leads the way for the Pilgrims on the offensive end as he paces the team with 37 goals, 27 assists, and 64 points. Thomas Norton is the four-time reigning New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, as he has compiled 32 goals and 14 assists. Josh Owen has been key in the midfield for the Pilgrims, as he is second on the team with 26 assists. Quint Bartush and Joseph Pricken have combined to win 73.8 percent (248-of-336) of their faceoffs in the faceoff circle. Connor Almstrom and Michael Catalano headline a quartet of netminders for New England College, as they combine for a 10.40 goals-against average and a .531 save percentage.
Wheaton College (9-5, 1-5 NEWMAC) is looking to bounce back after their 16-5 loss to Babson. Shane Ross paces the Lyons offensively with 27 goals, while Lou Mainella has 17 goals, 18 assists, and 35 points. Robert Sullivan (19) and Alec Morin (18) have 18+ goals apiece. John Drew has been the top netminder for Wheaton this year, as he maintains a 9.66 goals-against average and a .576 save percentage.
The Lyons lead the all-time series, 11-1.
