New England College (12-10, 4-2 NECC) is looking to bounce back following an 8-4 loss at Babson. JD Normand continues to be a force at the plate, as he is batting .339 with one home run and a team-leading 18 RBI. Michael Ciccotelli paces the team with nine doubles, while Luca Giallongo and Harutaro Takahashi have six doubles. Ten batters are hitting over .300 this year. On the mound, the Pilgrims have been dominant. Headlines by Alex Perez and Shayne Audet, the duo combine for a 6-3 record with 87 strikeouts and a 2.40 ERA. As a staff, NEC has 191 strikeouts in 163.2 innings; NEC ranks 13th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings.
Saint Joseph's College of Maine (18-10, 11-1 GNAC) has won their last six games, with wins over Albertus Magnus, Colby-Sawyer, and Anna Maria. Ben Gravel leads the way for the Monks offensively, as he is hitting .308 with two home runs and 24 RBI. Drew Healey also has been solid at the plate, as he supports a .353 batting average with three home runs and 13 RBI. On the mound, St. Joe's is led by Jason Johnson, as he maintains a 1.29 ERA with 30 strikeouts to 10 walks. As a pitching staff, they have thrown 206.1 innings with 214 strikeouts to 100 walks and have a 4.80 ERA.
