The New England College Men's Lacrosse team heads down to Maryland for their annual Spring Break trip, as they take on Alfred University at 6:00 pm at the US Lacrosse Headquarters.
New England College (1-2, 0-0 NECC) is looking to bounce back following an 11-8 home loss to Emmanuel College on Wednesday. Connor Smith leads the Pilgrims with ten goals on the year, while the reigning NECC Offensive Player of the Week, Lucas Ferreira, has recorded five goals and three assists. Josh Owen has paced NEC with five assists, while Connor Almstrom and Michael Catalano have shared time in the crease for New England College, as they combine for an 8.00 goals-against average and a .642 save percentage.
Alfred University (1-0, 0-0 Empire 8) is coming off a 22-0 win over Medaille College on Wednesday evening. Justin Mosher led the Saxons with four goals, while Josh Hayman and Jonathan Kay each recorded three scores. Mosher also leads the team in assists (5) and points (9). Scott Kimiecik and Quinn Sullivan played a half, and each registered one save.
This is the first meeting all-time between the two schools.
