HOW IT HAPPENED
Plymouth came out of the gates firing on the Pilgrims netminder, as they scored three times in the first three minutes of the contest. NEC got on the board at the 12:24 marker of the first quarter, as Lucas Ferreira recorded his 10th of the year. The Panthers closed out the first on a 4-0 run and to go up 7-1. It was all Plymouth State in the second quarter, as they outscored the Pilgrims 7-0 and outshot NEC 16-8.
Plymouth State continued to expand their advantage following halftime, with four in the third quarter and three in the fourth. New England College was able to strike three times in the second half, as Thomas Norton scored twice and Ferreira scored once.
