The New England College Men's Lacrosse team opens up their 2022 campaign on Wednesday afternoon, taking on Anna Maria College at 4:00 pm.
New England College (0-0, 0-0 NECC) is looking to compete in an entire season this year, after competing in nine in 2021. Connor Smith is returning after leading the Pilgrims in goals (33), while Lucas Ferreira scored 15 goals in his freshman campaign. Smith is the top returner with six assists, while Josh Owen added five assists. Michael Catalano appeared in six games for NEC in the crease, as he recorded 57 saves in the crease.
Anna Maria College (0-1, 0-0 GNAC) looks to bounce back after falling in their season opener 13-4 against Wheaton. Eric Glover leads the AMCats with three goals, while Nick Massaro paces the team with three assists. Griffin Moore recorded 15 saves in the crease for Anna Maria.
NEC leads the all-time series 3-0.
