HENNIKER, N.H. – Four student-athletes from the New England College women's volleyball team have been named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams in an announcement by the CSC late Tuesday.

Senior middle blockers Tatiana Sampson (Kailua, Hawaii) and Livia Elfering (Parker, Colo.), senior outside hitter Nyah Piper (Mililani, Hawaii) and senior libero Jaycie Kodama (Pauoa Valley, Hawaii) were all recognized as all-district selections after a season that saw the 'Grims reach the finals of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) championships for the third straight season. Kodama was voted the NECC Defensive Player of the Year as both she and Sampson earned All-Conference honors. Kodama concludes her career as NEC's all-time career digs leader while Sampson set the school record for total blocks this season.

They are the first Pilgrims to earn Academic All-District honors since former NEC great Meaghan Six after the 2018 season.

All four exceptional student-athletes will appear on the ballot for the prestigious Academic All-American program. The College Sports Communicators – formerly CoSIDA – have recognized outstanding academics among student-athletes since 1952.
